Trout Fishing

Trout Ice Fishing

Uploaded on October 25, 2009

Just wondering if anyone wanted to share their tips for trout fishing through the ice. I know its a bit early but in NH we will be on the Ice soon!
I run smelt or emeralds at 15 feet using #6 hook on 2 foot flouro leader. Have had good luck in 20 - 30 feet of water stayin around 15-20 feet deep. Works well for browns. Rainbows go shallower and look for sandy bottoms. Always use a nylon hole cover on my tip ups.
