squirt gun scent for dog training

Uploaded on November 26, 2012

Instead of putting game scent on my dog training dummy and dragging it behind me while I walk, I put a mixture of game scent and hot water into a squirt gun or spray bottle. I very the H2O to scent ratio upon the age and capabilities of the dog. with the squirt gun I can lay a clean scent trail away from my own to the trarget dummy.

I always bought my coon dogs at the Winter Classic in Albany Georgia. Some ran good but some not. It seemed like I always got o lot of trash kills in the early season. (Skunks, opossums). I have used drag bags but the squirt gun idea makes sounds good and you know the sent is FRESH because you just prepared it. I have always wanted to try my hand at starting with a pup. I just might give this a try and get me a fresh dog ready for next year.
Thanks for the idea.
