Gear
If you are like me and keep your fishing gear in the boat.
And at end of day, just back it into the garage, slap on the charger to the battery and go have a beer. And you wonder why you don't get the life from your lines and guides as you should. Maybe your trolling motor battery is at fault.
The tip is to make sure you REMOVE rod and reels from the boat (and the immediate area), while charging the battery.
The small unseen, unnoticed fumes from the charging process are increadably corrosive on braided lines. Also on mono, but not as much.
Respooling twice a year is expensive, preventing a snapped line at the wrong time.... priceless. FISH HARD or GO HOME.
