.17 storage when prairie doggin'

Uploaded on February 23, 2010

If you're like us, prairie doggin' is drive a little, shoot a little, drive a little, shoot a little. My box of .17 would always slide open and I'd spend more time than I care to admit looking under the seats and floormats for dropped rounds. (they aren't cheap!)

I grabbed an empty gum container - the big plastic 60 piece one from Eclipse and it's perfect! It has a little door to flip open and dump out a few rounds, or I can flip the whole lid open and dump out a handful. It's round, so it fits in the cup holder in the door just perfectly, exactly where I want them when I'm standing outside with the door open.

Works great for other calibers as well.

And your ammo has never smelled so minty fresh. :-)

I just had that,"Why didn't I think of that," moments. Where we come from, it's a 22-250. at 100 to 400 yards.

That is brilliant!!! It would even work with empty film cans.
You deserve a medal!
