Quote of the Day from the Los Angeles Times:

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office.
"I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington,
we're Number One.
"There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and
Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'.
"The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab.
"You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

You could really make a great picture of all of these dingbat leftist women. Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray of Washington, Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and a lot more. Beyond belief how rude these women can become. But it is the MO on the femanist movement women. If they don't get their way, or someone isn't a liberal like they are they will insult, attack, anything goes, and against other women as well.

I had read that somewhere before and was trying to ignore it so as not to get my blood pressure higher than it already it. She sure does like the freedoms that the veterans afforded her even the one to speak her limited mind and insult veterans. Mark my word she will try anything , legal or not to try to get people's guns.

Well geez, you guys just can't seem to get any accuracy out of month old news. Keep in mind she was commenting on a proposed amendment.
At a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, Feinstein opposed an amendment to her Assault Weapons Ban legislation that would allow military veterans to continue to buy the firearms that would be banned.
Quote: "If I understand this, this adds an exemption of retired military. As I understand our bill, no issue has arose in this regard during the 10 years the expired ban was in effect and what we did in the other bill was exempt possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States. So that included active military. The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this." End quote.

Now I know the world renowned websites like "Mr.Conservative", "PolitiChicks", and "PrisonPlanet" have difficulty accurately reporting...but it wouldn't take much effort for scholars such as yourselves to actually look up the quote.
So in summation, Fienstien, while a misguided do gooder, certainly DID NOT insult all U.S. veterans as a whole.

While everything that comes out of the mouth of Feinstein's is revolting to me personally, I think the problem here is the media. Neither the liberal or the conservative media reports accurately. The American people shouldn't have to research multiple sources for every news story to get the facts. The funny thing is that the average citizen doesn't seem to care that they are manipulated. The chicken littles cry Senator Feinstein insults all U.S. Veterans as she flays about in a vain attempt to save her gun bill when what she said is that veterans should loose their guns like everyone else- no exemptions. It's still revolting. But, if you don't do your research and check the facts, you end up looking like an idiot and the anti's laugh all the way toward more gun control.

As far as Feinstein, maybe she should put some effort into finding additional ways to treat veterans with PTSD and worry less about gun bans.

Did Senator Feinstein insult Veterans in this country with her gun and PTSD comments?

Gary,
Yes, I know you went on the internet and most of the websites all said the same thing. Every single one was also a heavily biased conservative website...what a coincidence.
I posted the word for word quote...the real important part you (and the rest) need to pay special attention to are the words..."would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran..."
Now did you see it? "AN INDIVIDUAL".
Now if you're still having trouble distinguishing between an individual and a group, then you're beyond my help.
And just for clarification, the proposed amendment Fienstien was commenting on proposed to allow veterans to be exempt from her proposed ban. In this country we do not extend rights to one group and withhold them from the rest of the population.

If I was tested under her criteria I possibly wouldn't qualify to have a firearm. It has been over 40 years and at times according to her remarks I may have had minor problems, so yes her remarks offended me. I have never been treated for anything so I don't have to lie on the firearms form but since she wants to test combat veterans I may be in trouble. Her word is if you read her quote you so graciously provided she said that you wouldn't know if a person who was in a war and you couldn't verify if the veteran had no impairment with respect to having a weapon like this..
