Shotguns
Can you smell it? Turkey season is almost here in Michigan, and that means a pretty busy schedule come April 20th. It's my favorite part of spring. I get to turkey hunt, look for sheds, and hunt for Morels(mushrooms- for those that don't know). And then, once Memorial Day gets here, add pike fishing to the afternoon mix. I can't wait! Do any of you do these or any others this time of year. Do you folks have an established turkey camp, and celebrate it like the opener of deer season?
I was just talking to my boss making sure I could take off to fly home to KS for this.We obviously don't have pike season but the channel cat and white bass fishing is going off at the same time. You can pretty much spend a week in a half mile radius and have plenty to do.Wish I was there to track but I've been checking the water temps and the weather reports for KS daily.Hopefully I picked the right week to take off.
In Alabama turkey season has already gotten kicking. I typically only get to hunt 13-14 days a season. The only other thing I do at this time of the year is bream fish, but hell I only do that in the afternoons after turkey hunting.
