Shotguns
I went to my hunting club to try out a new shotgun. There were three young girls there that their fathers had brought them to learn to shoot trap. They were ages: one 8,and two 9. They were taking turns using a small .410 Mossberg pump. They remained at one of the closer stations and did not rotate. Member frends were instructing them and they were good students. By the third round of 25,they were doing surprisingly well. In fact one of the young ladies tied her father. Granted it was 10/25 and from the easiest station, but with a .410! Her father was using a Browning 12 gauge. I guess there may be hope for the future.
Key besides decent technique is the length of the stock for young kids. Needs to fit. And I think that the good shooting, and I would say that 10/25 is good shooting, says something about instinctive shooting.
Thats good for a girl of that age. Sounds like their dad needs some practice though.
