The Canidates

Looks like it's down to just Gingrich and Romney; I find it interesting Herman Cain has chosen to back Newt. Didn't see that one coming. I don't like how Romney hasn't chosen to say anything about his Mormon beliefs, however, Gingrich hasn't said anything about his beliefs either.

Good for them. They keep religion out of it. Religion should be a personal thing, not something you want to air in public. Just brings unwarranted criticism anyway. Never candidate would make decisions based on their personal religion anyway. Herman Cain thinks Newt is the strongest person to sell capitalism, and create jobs. Both men are on the same page regarding how jobs need to be created. Romney is getting better in the sales department.

Right, just keep religion out of it.
Much like how the GOP conspiracy theorists did with accusing Obama of being a closet Muslim. Don't they burst into flames upon entering a Christian place of worship?

Strange how a country that promotes religious freedom spends any time at all on the subject.

Obama brought that on himself with his devious notion of secrecy on so many things, and then the media would not question him about any of it. Folks like to know about their President. This guy has hidden so many things about his past. He has a Muslim background, lived in Indonesia, dad a communist, and then he doesn't produce a BC, and has to be sued by his Democrat rival in the primaries to bring out the fact. It never was brought out. The judge wouldn't hear the case. He indicated he was a Christian, but has anyone heard of him going to church since being President? He went to Reverend Wrights church which was the stepping stone to move up the liberal, Chicago ladder, that sure doesn't speak well for someone's character. Simple deal...don't lie.

Appealing to the tea party voters who pushed him to victory in South Carolina, Gingrich spoke out against Sharia law, an overly active judiciary and what he deems a war on religion in the United States.

"Let me also say that there's a fundamental difference between my position and Gov. Romney's. Gov. Romney imposed on Catholic hospitals in Massachusetts a position against their conscience. Gov. Romney cut off kosher meals from Jewish senior citizens who are on Medicaid to save $5 a day. For $5 a day, he said no, you can't follow your religious prescription," Gingrich said. "Now, I think we need to have a government that respects our religions. I'm a little tired of being lectured about respecting every other religion on the planet. I'd like them to respect our religion."

Ron Paul is toast..just looking for some delegates and a say in the party. Don't know about Romney and the Catholic church, but libs actually legislated against the Catholic church, and now a great deal of Catholic Charities have dried up because of it, and their charitable giving has dried up. Newt is right, and appealing to the Christian folks that hold a strong sense of values that they have been attacked by the left, and are mad about it. They do right, and are mocked for what they do. Newt is just appealing to why the folks are motivated to vote. They are sick and tired of getting beat up by the left because of their sense of values.

Ron Paul always sticks it out to the end. Gingrich is toast in Florida but when I checked a couple days ago still outpolls Romney nationally. I'm kind of bored with the primaries of late. Republican leadership seems in lockstep to mess up Gingrich but ol Newton does seem more popular amongst Conservatives.

This is where Citizens United can really hurt our process. The more popular candidate is simply being outspent. Except for the fact that he is ungoogleable Santorum seems more genuine than all of them unless you're a Paulite, hope they all stay in the race.

Why has no one asked about Romney's Muslim faith?

I find it interesting that for a couple $5 million donations ol Newt will pedal whatever topic his casino donor wishes...in this case an embassy in Jerusalem.
Evidently the old axiom is true, everyone has their price, Newt's just happens to be $10 mil.

Shall we discuss the overseas contributions to Obama's campaign? Shall we discuss the Administration paying off big labor with that sweetheart deal at GM? What about the funny money associated with the failed 'green energy' companies. Give it a break with the casino donation. It's small potatoes compared to what the administration has done.

Give it a break?
You tell me, was the SCOTUS decision on citizen's united before or after Obama's election?
With the funds now spent on super packs that conveniently don't have to report until after the damage is done...what is your feeling on SCOTUS's decision?
And I'll consider giving my critiques a break when Obama is likewise given a break on issues that were decades in the making.

Sure they were decades in the making. No conservative would deny that! The GOP establishment has been complicit in going along, and getting along with bad liberal Democrat policy because they get to cut up a big share of the pie as well. But the numbers still tell the truth. Obama, given the House, and the Senate, greatly EXCELLERATED the problem with massive spending, and gave tax payer money to the unions..public employee unions for the most part. This expanded the size of govt while he shrunk the real economy creating massive debt. All under the notion it would go to "shovel ready" project then laughed at the fact, "guess the shovels weren't ready. Wanna know if that is a fact?...he sure won't talk about it on the campaign trail..should tell you something.

My ability to create the discussion is nothing short of brilliant. Matter of fact I worry about my fishing prowess since I hurt my arm patting myself on the back. I sure don't want to decellerate.

My opinion about religion and politics; my relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life, I want a leader of my country that I'm sure will be on his knees praying to the God of all before he makes any major decision. Yes I believe in religious freedom, and I know putting your Christian faith first and foremost isn't "popular" but that's not what Christians are called to be and the world won't stop me from rebelling against the culture. It's for Christ I live, It's for Christ I die, and It's Christ I Glorify.

Robert..You have to know the warped sense of humor that the Rat has. Conservatives have questions Rat's Messiah (Obama) for being a Muslim. There are plenty of reasons to think he may have been. So the Rat is putting the shoe on Romney's foot, and calling him a Muslim. You have to research the Rat to follow his reasoning, and I can guarantee you, it ain't worth doing it.

Here is where Romney had better get his act together. He can come over to my place, and have tea with me. I know Mormons do not dring booze, or smoke. I can lay the ECON 101 on him, and he had better listen up. If he can't sell capitalism, and allows Obama to get away with his socialism that he says is working, and just needs more time to work, the guy is toast. That is the essence of what this campaign should be about.

Where's Romney's birth certificate!!!!!!!! He admitted his father was born in Mexico. If Romney's father is a Mexican, and Romney can't prove he was born in the US, well that makes him a foreign born Muslim.

American Spectator hates all things Tea Party. If they can't control it, they don't want it.
