Bass Fishing

bad luck?!?

Uploaded on November 14, 2009

what is the worst luck that you have ever had huntin, fishin or anything to do with the outdoors?
last spring i went turkey huntin and the stupid gun wouldent fire! i called the turkey in for a good hour and a half and when it finally showed its self i locked right on to it sqeezed the trigger and... nothing happened so i cocked it again and it still didnt fire so i cocked it as hard as i could and the dang thing still didnt fire!! so i tryed to reload but of course the turkey saw me and off he went. now heres the best part... after the dang thing left i loaded up the peice of crap gun and shot 3 shells as fast as i could and evevery one of them fired?!
IT SUCKED

This was ALMOST the worst thing that happened while fishing;
I was fishing with a friend in the Owyhee river and it has steep banks.We had caught a few big brown trout that day,and after a fight with a menacing,7 pound sucker,I had to get my water from the truck.I started to ascend the steep bank and after being chased by a hornet,I slipped and fell,grabbing a ledge on the way down.It came with.The rock missed me and headed straight for my friend,I yelled down,"Get outta the way,get outta the-" he looked around,jumped up and got out of the rock's way.It bounced off one of the rods,hit another,disconnecting the top and bottom halves,before disappearing into the river.

Good post,your story sounds really frustrating!

My brother and I went hunting 1hr. away from home. When we got there he found out that he had forgotten the bolt to his rifle. Good thing he brought along his 357 pistol which was legal.

My worst luck came when i hooked a huge Pike. After a 30 minute fight, i finnaly brought the monster to the net. at that point, it broke the line and meandered into the depths.

Well, I was fishin for striped bass out of Buzzards Bay. My buddy caught a blue fish and as I was netting it the dang fish jumped a bit my hand! Then, as my bud wasn't payong attention, he took a cast which then hooked me in the forehead. Not a very good day.

The most painful bad luck I had was when my buddy dug a treble hook into my back when we were fishing a river together but the worst overall luck has to be last hunting season with my brothers. First my little brother gets a clean bow shot on a doe but it ran into a 10 ft. corn field and we lost the blood and eventually the deer. Then during gun season I shoot a buck in the shoulder and it limped off into these thick woods. After 2 days of looking we had to give up after we lost sign. Then the same day as mine my older brother shot at an 8 point. We thought it was a clean miss at first but we ended up finding blood so we tracked it over two cut corn fields. Only to get to the middle of the second field and have the blood trail disappear.Three brothers, three lost deer. After that hunting season my whole household had a little deer depression until this season.
