3" Heavyshot is about the best thing out there, but you'll pay for it.
I like 3 1/2 just because of the extra pellets it seems to give me less criples. 3.5 does not shoot any farther just gives me the extra knock down power especially at longer ranges. I like winchester and kent , only because they seem to pattern the best out of my patternmaster and plus not a fan of federal. However black cloud is a great round from federal and works good but its expensive to shoot.
i personally use 2 3/4 my waterfowl gun of choice is my remington 1100 and it wont take anything else. for geese i either use BB out of my 12 gauge or out of my 10 gauge i use T. when im hunting ducks i prefer 2's usually even in the 2 3/4 that'll take em down.
