Big Game Hunting
A custom knife maker friend of mine has developed a new product line, the star of which in my opinion is the "Farson Blade" survival tool. He was inspired by a Native American artifact he found. His universal utility blade patterned after the flint scraper blade he found serves as an axe, Alaskan Ulu chopper, skinner, scraper, slicer, etc. It has 8' of 550 para-cord wrapped around the grip (my idea). It weighs in at a mere 8 oz. and measures 6"X3.28"X.140". I have posted a photo of it on my profile. Check it out there or at www.fremontknives.com
I love knives and guns. My favorite knife for hiking, and the one I would carry if I had to go into combat, is one of the cheapest knives I have. It is a light weight stainless blade with markings acid etched into it to look like damscus steel (which it isn't) The handle is wrapped in OD Greed 550 cord. The sheath is a medium weight nylon. It would attach nicely to a backpack shoulder strap. It is very sharp, and it retains it's razor edge.
