Big Game Hunting
Return of elk
Uploaded on January 26, 2012Hay, are there any fellow Missourians out there who cant wait to hunt the newly restored elk. Last i read, hunting will start in 2015. If you guys have any tips to offer, (like the gun to use, best area types to hunt, ect.) they will be appriceated. Also, what is the best habbitat improvment stratagy.

Where are there elk in Missouri? The Ozarks?
Awesome! Elk are my favorite. I know nothing of the location of Missouri elk, but I sure now how to hunt them, been doing it for 30 years in Colorado. Ask away! I don't use a gun, I bow hunt. I like to see my reflection in their eyes when I release my arrow.
Missouri conservation has reinstated ln county of CA.
I would not use anything smaller a 30.06 with 180 gr.hard hitting bullet.
The elk use to reside here but were hunted out.
they wanted to reinstate elk here a long time ago but was voted down by the farmers because
they play hell on the fence that keep the cattle in.
GOOD EATS!!!
