Big Game Hunting

Snow chain cleaning

Uploaded on October 27, 2009

Elk hunting in the high country often involves tire chains on at least the front end if not all four. When you remove the chains they are a mess, clogged and frozen stiff with mud and ice. Instead of swinging them to beat the frozen mud off against the rocks, hang them off the tow hitch ball and drag them behind the truck on the way down. After a quarter of a mile, turn them end-for-end to beat the other half clean. The hook and latch links can be used to secure the chains to the reciever to avoid them bouncing off the hitch ball. They will clean up like new and save you the dirty job with the pressure washer.
