Bird Hunting
Hello Field and Stream Forum.
My name is Sam, and I am a high school student in an engineering class. My team of students and I are required to invent a solution to a problem. We are interested in duck hunting, and we want to solve a problem associated with duck hunting. If you could tell us any problems you have with duck hunting, or take our survey, it would really help.
TL;DR high school engineering students need a duck hunting problem to solve.

How about figuring out a better way to make decoys collapsible so you don't need a dump truck to haul enough deeks for a good sized spread?
Here's a good one for guys who are wrong-eye dominant. How about a gizmo that will momentarily shut off vision through the left eye so that the right hand shooter is only looking down the barrel with right eye when he takes the shot. I'm thinking you could modify a pair of old flip-up clip-ons so that only the lens for left eye remains, paint it black, hook a mini motor to the clip-ons with a remote switch so that left lens "patch" will flip down and cover the eye just before the shot is taken.
A more portable reloader would be nice to but that might be a bit more than a high school project.
I have often wondered how well a lighter-than-air decoy might work. A couple of dirigble deeks on tethers bobbing in the wind about thirty yards up would seem to me to be every bit as good an idea as flags and mojo deeks. There, I probably just made you kids millionaires!
