I don't let the season end for quite awhile..start with doves in Sept., then Hungarian Partridge, then Sharptail Grouse, Sage Grouse, Ruff Grouse, then Pheasants, some duck/geese until the middle of January, then cottontail rabbits until the end of February. My labs do it all, even chase cottontails through the sage brush, and retrieve them. Then its work with my dogs keeping them in shape, and shooting at the gun club to stay sharp for next season. I hardly have time to go fly fishing 75 times a year!...all in my Idaho Falls, ID area.
