Can't see your front sight

I am one of those people, who doesnt have the money, or really the desire to hunt with a scope on my gun. I use a Marlin 336, 30-30. I have used the same type of sights that have been on there since we got th gun. My father had taken off the front cover for the front sight and they gun sling slipped and fell and chipped the front sight. So we ordered a new one with the cover on it. the sight is really dull. It is difficult to see it when in low light. So either spend $45 dollars on a hi-viz sight, or borrow a lady-friends nail polish put a dab on the front sight and you are ready to roll.
