I do hunt them but if they are around my garden i shoot them. What do you do with them?

I usually burry them or throw them away, but i also heard you could drop them off at your local post office, i dont know what they do with them though... maybe thats why the backs of stamps taste bad.

Trash always works. Alaska is swamped with crows. Uncle Ted would have you pop a couple off with an air rifle. It is great practice to brush up on your hunter instincts and your marksmanship. As you say what to do with the carcas afterword. Possible compost or use in planting with crops. Ptarmigan are a blast because you can pick a whole covey by shooting the back one and working forward, they won't move.

By the way Sam Cobb, thanks for the laugh. I needed it. My father-in-law is a ex-postman. He would get a laugh as well.

crow hunting is a good way to get out side and warm up for duck hunting. I found this web site i haven't been there for a while, but it should have good info for you.

Am I crazy or do they know what a gun means? If I'm not carrying a gun, I can get within range easily. If I have one, I have to try very hard.

just get a owl decoy and two crow decoys and put the "owl" on a pole with the "crows" around the bottem, put a call at the bottem of the pole grab the 12ga and hide in some weeds.

I've had good results w/ a handheld call,1 decoy or none. the most important thing is to be still,& fully camoed. place yourself in brush, weeds to break up your outline, but don't get in a position that you can't move to shoot.

we use electronic callers, crow and owl fight or any predator call works. Also have a rifle handy if your using the predator call, coyotes.

I havn't gone hunting for crows but one weekend up at my camp i saw one perched in a tree with no leaves on the branches and i had gottin within 50 feet of it before it fleww to the next tree so then i went grabbed a pellet gun as that was all i had and i tried to get close and it flew away before i was 40 yards away so i sat ther for about 15 minutes and 3 more came by and landed in the same tree and luckfully i had a scope and i shot at one and i hit it dead on and all it did was fall 3 branches and get up and fly away i followed him thrue a feild for about a half hour before he flew wer i couldnt follow but i didnt kno that crows wer tough enough to withstand a pellet gun shot and i hit him right in the chest.
