Hunting a farm with standing cornfields. So far, not much activity at all during legal hunting hours. Trail camera showing nocturnal activity. Hoping things will improve, or that the corn gets picked soon.

Got good reports from our area in N.Central. Lots of shooter seen.

Depends where yah are I think. Im in Erie County/Greene Township/Waterford Area and I have seen very little to zero day time activity. Everything I see is in the evening and I see about 10 deer on average. Usually they stand at the far far edge of a field and eat. I can call, call, call and call until I am blue in the face and my rattle bag is down to nubs. Last night (the 18th) I was able to get a group of 2 bucks (one 8pt and one 6pt)and several doe to come over to me but by the time they did it was too dark in the woods. Had I been set up along the field line I would have been about to have my choice of doe and/or the 8pt. So I think we're starting to see more action. I have noticed some scrapes (finally!) to go along with the 100 different rubs. Come on november!
