Deer Hunting
My wife will be joining me in the woods this fall for first time. She will be using a bow, should i put her in a tree stand or a ground blind ? Any first time pointers would be greatly appriciated.

I got my first bow in 2003 and my first hunt was from a tree stand. I have hunted from a ground blind but my choice would be a tree stand.
Kudos for getting your wife out and showing her what hunting is all about. My husband and I hunt ALOT and he is the best hunting partner I could ever ask for. I harvested my first whitetail and my first bear with him in a stand next to me.
I am so dang excited for you and your wife as bow hunting is my passion.
I wish you both a great year in the woods and much success.
Happy Hunting

Thanks JB ,Ihope my wife enjoys bow hunting as much as i do . I have a peice of property i hunt that i can garentee her a shot at a deer her first time in a ground blind. But i also think that i should put her in a stand for a more realistic hunt . Opening day is a long way off and a lot of prep work to be done.Hope you and your husband have a great year also.
I would ask her if she is comfortable in a tree stand- it is much different staying steady up a tree vs. on the ground- the shooting angle is much different too- best advice- put her in the closes position to what she has been practicing in- first time bow hunting from a tree stand with no practice shooting from a position unfamiliar is probably going to be a bad idea.. especially when that adrenaline kicks in!
