Deer Hunting
Yes its April 1st but no fooling. This morning a nice 10 point in full velvet walked down the middle of the street (Pittsburgh, PA). Anyone ever see this, if so why would it happen?

It's probably a hormone problem. Deer antlers grow and then harden off because of growth hormone and testosterone. The amounts produced increase spring through fall and then decline over the winter. I'd guess he has too much of one or both being produced.
Could have been a doe.
I agree. Most deer drop there antlers around here through mid-January to early February. Two months would be too soon to grow them back.
I have a 6 pointer on field cam that still has his rack, photo was taken 4/11/2013. This is in Ross township a burb of Pittsburgh, others have photos of bucks that have not shed from Swickley to Butler Pa. Pa game comm. seems to think it's the weird weather pattern that has been in sw Pa .
