Deer Hunting
Here is a tip that was passed to me by a friend of mine and now I pass it on to all of you. Immediately upon arrowing a buck through the lungs either grab your grunt tube or simply use your mouth and make a loud grunt or bleating sound. A cleanly lung-hit buck will usually not tear out of there but rather bound off allowing a smart hunter to stop him by a simple grunt. So, immediately upon shooting your buck, grunt loudly but only until he stops. By getting your deer to stop while he is fatally wounded will allow precious seconds to tick by while your broad head is doing its work. Then, after several seconds, the deer will stagger off and lie down usually within sight of your stand thus making your tracking easy!
This trick has worked beautifully for me several times and I know of others who have met success with it. I have never attempted the trick on a doe... if anyone has let me know how it went.
Thanks for reading and happy hunting!
I'll have to try that. It wounds like it will work. Another thing to do is not track it for at least an hour.
sounds like a plan
So I used this trick again over the weekend and it worked amazingly well! Shot a buck and bleated at him with my mouth... he just stood there 30 yards away behind a tree until he fell over! It was unbelievable!
Shot a doe this week and tried it without success, anyone else ever try this on a doe?
