Deer Hunting

Marine Optics for deer hunting. . . why not?

Uploaded on November 05, 2009

So there are several pretty cool marine optics out there (most are 7x50) made buy several name brand hunting companies (Bushnell, Tasco, Pentax, Steiner, Brunton, etc.). So my question is. . . does anyone ever buy these to use for hunting, particularly deer hunting. . . and if not. . then why not? I was in the market for 8x42 binoculars. . . but 7x50 is about the same, and to have the built in compass and range finder that most of these marine optics have would be pretty cool for hunting too. What am I missing here, is it crazy to think these would be good for the deer stand? Thanks
