My son was old enough(14) to deer hunt last fall. Not wanting to spend up to $50 on a sight system for his vent rib, IC, 20 ga. 870 I thought back to my bowhunting days and remembered how a peep sight made a huge difference. I went to the local hardware store and bought a 1/4" plastic barbed tubing coupler. After filing one side flat I zip tied it to the beginning of the vent rib and voila! he had a front sight (bead) and a rear peep sight. At the range he put all shots in a 6" circle at 50 yards. Unfortunately no deer put themselves in harm's way last year but we are already looking forward to next fall.
