when do bucks do most of there rubs,morning or evening?

Honestly it really depends. They can do it in the middle of the night even or at noon. It depends on the individual deer and their movement patterns.

ive only seen one buck do anything of that nature and that was make a scrape in the ground on opening morning of gun season in MI. he was a little 5 point. you can take 2 bucks in MI, one buck with one antler 3 inches or longer and one with 4 or more on one side, id already shot a 5 point so he walked. i watched him walk out into a bean field and get shot by the guys on the other side.

While i was in my treestand in southern ny i was bowhunting the opener for bow. It was about 7 -7:30 AM AND A NICE 6 point came in with a doe and a spike and he was rubbing trees all along his path of the treeline. So i would assume they rub all hours of the day. This waS just about the start of the rut in ny..
