Deer Hunting
Here is a question. If I hunt for several days at a time how do I keep the meat from spoiling. A small animal would be cooked and consumed, larger such as dear I may need to store. What is the best way to do that?

first off, clean it right away and use game bags. if you can de-bone it that would help. also, plan ahead and bring coolers if you can.
jamesti has it right, you have to plan ahead when you go on a hunt like that. I used to process deer and every year it never failed some guy would bring in a deer that had been hanging in a tree or on a buck pole for 3 or 4 weeks and it was spoiled. The most common excuse was the weather was cool and they were trying to age the meat. Sometimes it could be chalked up to ignorance but many times it was laziness either way it was wasted. Learn all you can and plan ahead. Good Hunting.
