Hunting plans for fall

Uploaded on July 12, 2011

I HAD a plan for fall but we did not draw muley tags for Colorado. I have a new bow and I am dying to harvest my first animal with it.
So, my question is...what are your plans for fall. Where are your travels taking you to enjoy what we love the most...the outdoors.

I drew my moose in an area close to home!!! It is a cow/calf tag but well worth it for me considering I can hunt it within 1-2 hours of my home and maybe even have the girls with me. Very excited. However, we just got a "new" camper that I will be working on dillegiently until bow season opens. Lets just say it's a fixer-upper! How about you?

My boyfriend will be taking me to Nebraska with him this year. It will my first deer hunt. I've never hunted before, so this will be interesting. We desperately need more venison, so it's good that I go. We've been doing a good job at eating our way through what he took last year.

If you're looking for good ideas for cooking wild game, we started a food blog called Wild Game In the Kitchen. www.foodforhunters.blogspot.com

I've learned to really appreciate game meats this past year. It's so much fun and interesting to cook with. I can't wait to experience the whole process from start to finish.
