No more strutting.

I am noticing the turkeys up by our place aren't strutting making it really hard to tell at distances to tell if it is a tom.

just look at the color
a mature gobbler will be jet black at a distance

carry u a pair of small binocs they really help

Just carry some binocs and look at the head! I think it is pretty easy to do that.

Gobblers are black with a large amount of red on the head even when not excited. Overall size is larger as well. Get a good pair of binocs for hunting.
