Need some kindling that will burn better? Rip-cut a 1x4 piece of pine in half, and then cut 4-6 inch long (they can be whatever size you want really, as long as they're the length you want your kindling to be) sections off In a small bucket or large jar, mix tiki oil and vegetable oil until the container is 3/4 full. you can play around with the ratio of tiki to vegetable oil to get the type of burn you want, tiki oil starts more easily, but vegi oil burns longer and is harder to put out. next, take some of the pine sections and put them in the jar. The wood should be almost submerged, but if they float up, just put something on top to keep them down. after a minute or so of soaking, place them on a grate above an old pie tin (this will catch the excess oil) and let them drain for a half hour or so. Once the extra oil has drained out, put the pieces in ziploc bags and pack them away. Whenever you need a fire, use your knife to the block into the size pieces you want, and watch them burn! The oils will keep it burning longer, and also provide a much taller flame!
