If you have a hole in your rubber boots, you can repair it using a piece of bicycle innertube, and some gorilla glue. The procedure is as follows:
Clean the patch area thoroughly. Use a piece of sandpaper to rough the surface of the boot and bicycle innertube. Prime the repair area with a wet paper towel, and apply gorilla glue. Allow the glue to sit a few minutes before applying the patch. Once the patch is in place, use a couple of very tight rubber bands to hold it in place. Give the glue 4-6 hours to properly dry.
It's only a temporary repair, but it works pretty well.
That's one way to do it... The easiest and probably the best way to fix the hole is to patch it with a rubber boot patch. Makes sense to me! They're easy to use, just peel and stick. No messy glue or wait time. I've used them on my rubber concrete boots and they work great. You can buy them on line at www.rubberbootpatch.com
Those will work but Christmas is coming. Put some new Lacrosse on your list.
concrete man...never heard of them...which is why I patched my boot like I did. I'll be checking those out though, thanks!
bjohnston: They're on it...believe me :-)
