Small Game

coyote & turkey hunting

Uploaded on January 31, 2010

I had spent over two hours working a huge Ky. gobbler during the 2009 spring hunt and had him just in range when a huge coyote burst from the brush needless to say I took the coyote.Coyotes population are getting out of hand here in Ky.Hunters need to spend a couple of months prior to the spring turkey season hunting coyotes it will help the small game and help pass the late winter months.

what is a good gun to hunt coyotes with. would a .22 be enough to take one down, or something with a little bit more muscle?

I called one in, and my buddy took it with a .22. Although I would not recomend taking the shot if it is over 25 yards away!

A friend of mine was calling turkeys a couple springs ago and two coyotes sneaked up on him. He was lucky and killed them both.

I took one this spring turkey season. I got both my first turkey and my first coyote this year. There is just way too many of the damn things. (coyotes that is)
