Small Game
I deer hunt with a 20 gauge with a 1x4.5 scope and I was thinking about leaving the scope on for turkey season. I was wondering if anyone else has done, or currently does this. If so I'd like to hear what you think and if it is affective.

I have a red dot sight on my turkey shotgun and it works very well. You will probably have to pattern with it on there as my shotgun shoots slugs to a completely different point of aim.
I have a cheap Tasco 4X on my o/u .223 over 12 and it handles the heavy recoil just fine and shoots both barrels to the same point of aim. I see no problem, given a good scope.
sure dont see why not...
I think its just unnecicary on a turkey gun.
I haven't tried one but I'm not going to. I talked to a man a while back who use to use a scope and he was telling me how hard it is to get on a turkey in the woods he told me to just use some good Tru-Glo sights
I usually use a rifle but sometimes I do use a shotgun. I am going to put a set of truglo sights on it.
