The Tip Board
For skinning small game use a roofing blade in a utility knife. This works just like a game hook for big game.

Hmm...thats a pretty good idea. I bet it would work pretty good for squirrel and maybe even rabbit.
I've always liked my Old Timer 152OT Sharpfinger, it holds a wicked edge and is very accurate to use. It fits the hand very well and is just like an extention of your index finger.
While out scouting I walk along a number of fields. I have collected various scrapers and blades from old Indian villages. You can always seem to find one of these in a bind and they work really well, the Indians were able to survive using these. You will be surprised how many different tools you will find. Just look for high spots or mounds in fields and you would be amazed at what you will find. Also look along river beds and creeks, anywhere that there might have been an old "village". Plus you might be amazed at some of the artifacts you might just find!!!
You may want to use a scalpel knife. It is the kind of knife that a surgeon uses in the hospital for performing an operation. I don't think that you could get any sharper than that. When the blade gets dull, throw it away and replace it with a new one.
