Tactical .22

Uploaded on June 13, 2009

Anybody else seen the "tactical" Ruger 10/22 yet?
It's got the colapsible stock(ie M-4), pistol grip, 25 rnd mag, and rail top.
Any thoughts?

I built such a thing in 1983. If you build your own, you can put what you personally like on it. There's a zillion parts, and it can be fun at the same time.

I've seen gatllin gun kits for the 10/22's. There's as many add ons for the 10/22 as there is for the AR15

putting a .22 round into a tactical rifle sounds like putting a lawn mower engine into a 2009 chevy corvette. it just doesn't make much sense to me.

The rifle is sey up like an M-4(.223 by the way). The only difference's are ones full auto and has a bigger "hull/ powder cap."
So that must be some "B/A" lawn mower you've got there Mr. Jones.

I have one and it works great for coons, and coyotes at close range.

well i'm not saying the 22LR round isn't effective! i'm just saying that you're putting in a lot of money and extra nonsense when your normal wooden stock performs just as good, if not better, than a tactical version. i don't see the need for a tactical style gun unless it's being used during combat of some sort. that's just me. i guess i shouldn't say that though, the Ruger ranch rifles are damn nice guns.

Unless your using it as some kind of training tool what would be the point? The ammo is certainly cheaper and it could have a practical application if you are some type of law enforcement official doing lots of training. Aside from that what's the point. If you have the money to waste go for it.

It's for the "tacticool" factor. Some people like it. Maybe it attracts new buyers.

May be a good gun to walk your property with. Shoot a few squirrels or rabbits, and scare the crap out of would be trespassers that, from a distance, think you have an assault rifle.
