Using screwdrivers on firearms

In my gun cleaning box along with my cleaning gear I keep two or more flat blade screwdrivers, one standard and several smaller ones. On the shaft of the larger one I wrap several layers of duct tape. I use this to cover the blade end of the screwdrivers. I cut it a little wider than the end of the blade. This will stop you from scratching the finish on your firearms.
