no way of telling... but a I'm sure the Remington 870 is at or near the top of the list.
im with dneaster,870 hands down
I cant see the poll. It's not listed. I would agree with the first 2 posts but I'd also say the Mossberg 500.
Being that it is probably the most used shotgun in the country, I would have to say the 870. #2 is where you would start getting into some interesting debate.
870 easily
I would have to think that it is either the Benelli SBE 2 or the Beretta Extrema 2.
No question, Remington 870
I'm going to say Mossberg
Remington 870 - hands down, no question.
i'll join the crowd and also say the 870
879 just joking 870
The old 870 has been dumping them for a long time.
Well, I think everyone said the 870 save one. How long has it been dropping meat out of the sky?
870 followed closely by the 1100.
The 870, however with the way the modern auto's are going I think the 870 might be a gun of the past. It's still a great gun but alot of people that I know are going to the new 3.5 inch autos.
there's no way to tell but itis the rem 870 pump.
I going to have to go with the ithica model 37, back in the day it was the cream of the crop, shame they went out of business
What about the Winchester Model 12. It has been around for alot of years and bag limits were higher during its hayday. There is also the Browning A5. I realize both are out of production but they each had long runs.
I'd say y'all are probably right about the 870, but that old A-5 is still dropping them in a lot of places. It probably takes second.
I'd say probably all the current day models are still trying to catch up with punt guns they used in the late 1800's and early 1900's for commercial harvests.
The Browning A5 has to be considered. Considering it was the market hunters number one choice for years and limits were very liberal and ducks were very numerous way back when.
ID SAY THE MODEL12 WINCHESTER.OR THE 870.
870 no question
870 no question
870 also great gun
remington 870
model 12
Remington 870 solely based on the fact that millions of these guns have been sold so they have the odds based on that alone. Plus I've knocked down a duck or two with mine.
Still being in production, I'd say the Rem 870 is pushing it's way to the top.
But some other folks on here have gone back and really punched the button.
The Win Mod 12 has (and still is) probably taken more game than any other "model" out there.
The Browning A5 probably is so close to second as to make the point moot.
The loss of the M12 and the A5 is a crying shame, but the Rem 870 has taken up the slack as an affordable and dependable shotgun and has probably pretty much replaced both the M12 and A5
as THE most popular shotgun.

I hate rhetorical questions, there is no way to know, but it would be neat to know.
