Leather Pulls for All Zippers!

Uploaded on February 27, 2009

When purchasing new gear, including huntin' clothes, fanny packs, backpacks ... anything that has a zipper, I take the old pulls off of the zipper and replace them with longer pulls, of leather strips.

I usually purchase the leather strips,(leather shoe string laces)at flea markets, and simply run one end through the hole in the zipper and tie both tag ends into a knot.

My pulls, are three to three and a half inches long and aids me in pulling the zipper, even with gloves on.

I have them on an old backpack where the zippers are concealed by a small flap. With my three inch pull strings, it's easier for me to locate the zippers and get in and out, quieter and quicker, whether it's on my coat, pants or shirt.

I use them on things around the house, including gym bags.

I connect keychains to the zipper to make it easier.

Also has the bennifit of quieting the zipper-- some of the tabs that originally come with the zippers make noise!
