Easy To Make Match Holder

Uploaded on November 21, 2009

Hold matches and small tinder in an old sharpie.

Uploaded on October 08, 2009
This is an easy way to keep matches, small tinder, or anything else dry and it even floats! It works with most sharpies, but it doesn't work with the ultra fine point sharpie.
1. Take off the cap 2. Grab the inside part that holds the tip, and move it back and forth slowly until it comes apart. You can use a little force. 3. The inside should come out which includes the tip and the ink cartridge. Take the ink cartridge out and discard it. 4. You should now be left with the tip, cap, and body. You may need to clean ink out of the body. Just stick your matches, or or anything thats small enough to fit in the body. Then put the part that hods the tip in the body and push it down. It may take some force the first time. Then put the cap on and your ready to go. Good luck!

Shotgun shells make a good waterproof match holder. If you can find 16 gauge shells that have been shot fill it with matches and slide it into a shot 12 gauge shell. 20s and 16s will work together too. I first heard about this years ago when 16s were more common. Works very well.
