Gingrich releases contract with Fannie & Freddie

Gingrich releases contract with Fannie & Freddie

In the 16 page contract nearly nothing is stated as to Mr. Gingrich’s duties.
However, it does state who Mr. Gingrich reports to…you know, his boss.
The contract between the Center for Health Transformation, an arm of the Gingrich Group, and Freddie Mac shows that Gingrich reported directly to Craig Thomas, who at the time served as the agency’s director of public policy and was one of its registered lobbyists on Capitol Hill.
So “technically”, I guess Newt’s pants aren’t on fire…But there’s an old saying, “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck”.

Mittens hammered him on just this point last night.

Both of them were doing pretty well, though I think Mittens scored the most. 25K per day for a historian? Next Monday we'll know how resilient the bump in the polls is.

I'd expect the GOP establishment to shift into high gear mobilizing for Romney pretty quick.

Heard a little blurb the other day after Newt's win in S. Carolina.
"champagne was flowing at the DNC while whiskey was at the RNC".

American bourbon paid for by themselves vs French champagne paid for by borrowed tax payer money.

labrador12,
Any proof as to your statement?

Let's talk a little about governance...specifically concerning funding shall we?
Which party produced Medicare part D again? You know, that prescription giveaway with a trillion dollar price tag completely unfunded?
Which party threw a couple wars on funds borrowed again?
Which party took a surplus handed to them by a previous administration and turned it into trillions in debt?
Which party members just won election to the House on promises that "we learned our lesson and won't do it again"?
Meanwhile no movement on job bills...just more unfunding of planned parenthood, meaningless vote to defund ACA, and the ever useful dedication namings of a few post offices.

Which President was happy to UNFUND the military, talk tough, and expand the war? And no one doesn't believe Medicare needs saved via reform...Paul Ryan, the smartest guy in the room, had the solution, Democrats, 100% of them, rejected the needed reform. Obama wanted to steal from it...$500 BBBBBBBBBillion dollars to pay for his socialist ObamaCare.

Fact...NEWT didn't lobby F & F...he worked under contract for F & F as a private contractor, and received but a fraction of the money from all the office outlets his firm had. That's the facts, now breakdown the liberal BS.

Hate radio had no anti Newt or anti Mittens talk yesterday. Word from on high probably.

I see nothing for Newt to be ashamed of because he was a lobbyist or because he is in the pocket of Fanny Freddy or Pharma. Republicans are supposed to be corrupt. Why not just be upfront about it, maybe wear a suit with logos of corporate sponsors.

You won't find me singing the praises of the Bush Administration. It was just superior to the Chicago Mob that replaced it. Bush's lack of fiscal prudencence and reliance on the good old boy method of beaurocratic maintenence was pitifull. The post 2006 spending frenzy with its increased power to czars and unelected technocrats is a formula for disaster. Hopefully the ACORN vote and the dead vote which the Chicago Mob relies on won't be enough to maintain the status quo. I would hope for a reduction in the size and scope of government, I doubt the Rs will deliver, but the current mess is worth tossing out.

Well labrador12, with your outlook condemning all choices I guess we don't stand much of a chance.
Just out of curiosity, would you have any substance behind your claim that implying dead people voted enough to elect current administration?

labrador, Obama has reduced the size of the Federal Govt the most in 35 years, next question.

I notice you are not objecting to my opinion of ACORN. You really should read Boss by Mike Royko, its an oldy but a goodie about Chicago Mob politics. IRS figures show that Obama's staff owes almost a million in unpaid taxes in 2010 alone. Dems have no problem with raising taxes, they just don't pay them. Taxes are for the little people.

Ok labrador12,
The reason for no comment on Acorn is because as most sane people know, Acorn was a collection of community-based organizations that advocated for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, and housing.
ACORN was shut down in the wake of the September 2009 release of selectively edited videos by two conservative activists using a hidden camera (later exposed as bogus) to elicit damaging responses from low-level ACORN employees that appeared to advise them how to hide prostitution activities and avoid taxes.
Now I hope you noticed the words “low level employees”…as in not carrying out the organization’s national directives.
Next.

No, like citizens practicing their right to vote.
And as for "was not ever cleared of illicit voting charges", it could be said Acorn never voted...you know, individuals vote, as in not organizations.
So me going door to door encouraging my neighbors to register and vote is in the same classification as Acorn?
Tell me, how is/was Acorn any different from the Heritage Foundation, American CrossRoads, or any of the multiple GOP leaning organizations? Let's not forget the ever popular NRA...ever get any unsolicited mailings from them encouraging you to register and vote?

None of them ever encouraged me to register and vote multiple times using fake names and addresses like ACORN has done repeatedly in multiple states and cities.

You see, there you go again just repeating junk.
Registering is quite different than voting. People don't win office by registrations, they win office by winning elections.
Confirmed cases of actual double voting or otherwise fraudulent voting is infinitesimal.
