Keeping alert

I was working at a city hospital on Friday when at 3:00 pm a security guard came to me with two cases of underpads(absorbing pad) and state that some called for them to be delivered to our Wound treatment center. After goung there and getting a negative response, he came and told me. I quickly called my Central Service department which verified the caller. I quickly ran the two cases down to the department and passing through the department, I noticed a nurse treating a patient with a large open wound and a soiled underpad on the floor. After taking the boxes, I quickly tore open the case and retrieved a package whereupon I walked over to the room and handed the nurse the open package. She withdrew one from the package and left the remaining package by the door
