Stoking a fire safely

Uploaded on October 12, 2009

I use an old radio antenna to stoke a fire. Once elongated I can safely put one end into the embers and blow air into the other end creating a more concentrated stream of air without sucking in a lung full of smoke.

personally, I'm a fan of the good old fallen limb technique. what it lacks in technological sophistication it makes up for in ease of procuring the necessary equipment; namely the limb in question. There's always something on the ground
