Q:Does anyone know how to determine the model of a Browning bar by it's serial number. I figured out the year it was made and that it was a magnum caliber but I wanna confirm the model.

Q:regarding my earlier question on the smith-sights, there are some specific things that have grabbed my interest. first, I will be using my Mosin-Nagant mainly for target shooting at the range. this is because it is illegal to hunt with a center-fire rifle where I live. I have taken a look at the web site and took particular interest in both the adjustable target sight and the green fiber-optic sight. how much of an improvement would these sights be over the original military one? In addition, lets say I order one of the sights. once i receive the sight do i immediately install it or does it require some special fitting for proper placement? Thank you very much Josh for responding to my question and have a wonderful day. sincerely, J.B.H

Q:Well I picked up my Sako A7 yesterday from the FFL dealer, and I of course immediately unboxed it upon my arrival home. I had no problems with it yesterday,- the action was smooth like glass, the trigger pull was crisp, everything was perfect. Today when I was examining it again however, I noticed after working the action for some time, that the last portion of running the length of the bolt in and out was very rough and required effort. After taking out and placing the bolt back in multiple times, I was still having the problem. I noticed metal dust/flakes accumulating in the bottom portion of the action where you first slide the bolt into, and where the cocking indicator slides out. The action is still rough, very unlike how it was before. Is this a common problem? Does it just need to be broke in? I rubbed some light oil on the bolt and all inside the action to no avail. The rifle has never been fired and was new in box. Any help will be appreciated! I just need to know if it's something that can be fixed with elbow grease or something, or if it needs to go back to the manufacturer. Thanks!
