Q:Looks like I will not need to buy a shotgun, someone I mow for was going through his gun cabinet and doesn't have room for 1 shotgun so he is giving me a choice of one. One is an Ithaca semi-auto and the other is a Winchester pump, both are 12 gauge. Thank you for all the help with my decisions. I am leaning towards the pump but it has a fixed choke. What is the tightest choke that is safe to put a slug through? Sorry if miscategorized

Q:I bought a new box of shells last fall and this weekend I had several misfires with the shells after going through about half the box previously. One shell I attempted several times and two others only once. I bought a new box today and have not had a problem with misfires from this box. I had cleaned the firing pin by removing it and cleaned the firing pin well as well prior to the misfires. Has any one had the same or similar experiences. BTW the shotgun is a single shot Sears modal and the shells are Remington game loads.

Q:Has anybody used Bass Pro's Redhead choke tubes? I want to get an IC tube for slugs and most of the reviews are either 1 star or 5 stars on the Bass Pro site. Thanks

Q:Not for sure where this should go so just throwing this out there. I have always been taught and believed that you should not shoot magnum shells out of a shotgun that is not magnum rated. Going along with that one should never shoot a three inch shell out a 2.75 inch chamber. Am I correct in believing this or have shotguns improved to the point where this is not so critical?
