Q:I think I have narrowed my shotgun search to a Weatherby SA-08 12 gauge with a synthetic stock from Sportsman's Warehouse for $499. The guy at the counter said he has never had to send one back or heard of any problems. He said he has sent back several Benellis. This will be for dove, squirrel and maybe one day ducks. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with the gun.
Q:I am wanting to purchase a new shotgun but don't know which to get. I want a Benelli M2 because I've never had a semi auto and one day I hope to duck hunt. I will most likely have the main use of squirrel, rabbit and dove. As expensive as the Benelli is I have considered buying a pump to save money. The two pumps I have considered are the Winchester SXP and the Browning BPS. I have not had good luck with Mossbergs and I don't like the quality of the guns Remington turns out anymore. My hang up on the pumps is the Winchester is made in Turkey and the Browning in Japan. I would have no hesitation if they were made in the USA or even Italy like the Benelli. If anyone has first hand experience with either please share. I like the Browning but have never bought an Asian gun.
