1. Clip It

Clip the pectoral fins, then press them between two pieces of cardboard to dry. Mix the molding gel and pour into the bucket included with the kit. Submerge the head in the gel until it sets.

2. Clean It

Remove the fish and peel away any gel that sticks to it. Clean and fillet. Mix the plaster ingredients and pour them into the mold. Let the mold set for about a week.

3. Mount It

Remove the plaster head and attach the dried fins using air-dry clay to create new bases. If you need to define the jaw hinges further, open the mouth more, or deepen the gills, use a small file or sandpaper. Paint the head and mount it to a plaque.
