Q:Baiting is legal in my state. I know an owner of a bakery who gives me all his old bakery items during the fall to bait deer and bears. My question is are rolls, bagels, donuts, pies , cakes, bread, cinnamon buns and other bakery items bad for bear, deer, raccoons and other wildlife to eat? I know it isn’t healthy for people to eat too much junk food. I don’t want to hurt wildlife with sweets during my two month baiting period.
Q:What is good bait for foxes? And can I use their urine like deer urine? What I mean is will it attract any in the area while I'm hunting, like with deer where they can come in to check it out right when I put it out. I'm wondering if foxes will do the same before I go and spend money on it.
Q:Hello Mr. Petzal, from one south paw to another, what is the best way to get off a quick second shot in the field from a right handed bolt action rifle for lefties like us? I have tried the left hand over the stock method which allows you to keep the rifle steady and stay on target but that also causes hot copper hulls to fly directly at your face. I have also tried the forehand cycle but that leaves your rifle unsteady in your hand and it takes longer to re-acquire the target. What do you recommend if you must put another shot into something reasonably quickly?
