Q:I'm new to turkey hunting, but has anyone had any luck hunting turkeys when there's a good amount of snow on the ground? Is a non- snow pattern camo worthless to wear? What calls did you make?

Q:WV fall turkey season opened Saturday, and I just saw a headline that a hunter was killed on opening morning by the stray rifle bullet of another member of his camp. Apparently the hunter shot at and missed a turkey when the victim was on a roadway below and was struck. It's being attributed to fog, brush, and rain. Just another lesson to always know what's beyond your target, prayers to the family.

Q:I read that a purr is a good turkey call to master. However, I've read that there is a hen purr of contentment and a tom's fighting purr. Is there a big difference between the sound, or is a purr a purr, no matter what?
