Technical Difficulties Down East

Technical Difficulties Down East

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend -- preferably in the woods! I'm up in Maine with some great weather but ancient dial-up internet access. I've spent mucho time trying to choose and announce a gear winner, but it turns out I can't even view the blog itself! I finally ended up being able to do a post, so here's a quick note to say the gear is ready, but I think we'll have to wait til next Friday for our weekly announcement. Some of you have also sent field reports and photos, which I'm excited to see, but I can't view all of them!

So, here's hoping everyone enjoyed the holiday and is making the most of the weekend, and I'll see you Monday! -K.H.

Enjoy the lack of technology while you can. It's difficult to get away from it these days.

Have never been east but have recently had a couple of offers to go there. It is a big old world out there and I want to see it all ;)Rifle season is over and I did not get my buck. But, muzzle loader season starts this coming weekend so I still have time to harvest. We did a "doe" day this year and took 5. It is not uncommon to sit and see 20 to 30 does and fawns so it is important to take the does to practice good management.Good luck Laura on your hunt...make sure we get pictures.Happy Hunting and Kim, enjoy your time in Maine.JB

I knew a girl in Maine that Bear Hunted with hounds. She had some guts to go after them things!Have fun while you're up there Kim!No woods time for me, but I'm gearing up for 7-days of gun season! I'll be tucked in my stand waiting on a nice Ohio buck to wander past.Had some yotes holwing behind the house last night, hopefully I might get a shot or two at them through the week. I'll for surely try and get some Pics to you after the week is over.Well, I gotta go and double check everything.
