World Record Bass Photo: Hall of Fame displays pic of Perry’s fish

By Dave Hurteau & Chad Love

George Perry openly regretted that he had no picture of his 22-pound, 4-ounce, world-record largemouth. Perhaps he’d be relieved to know that the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame may have one, according to this Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune article. The photo in question depicts an unidentified man helping an unidentified boy hoist an enormous unidentified bass, which some say is Perry’s legendary catch. Although a snapshot of Louis Spray’s record muskie recently created a storm of controversy for the NFFHF, executive director Emmett Brown expects none of the same with this photo, noting that “It’s a different fish, a different situation.” click here for story
