How Kevin Van Dam Called His Shot and Won the 2010 Bassmaster Classic
Like most of the top contenders in the field (including the first five place finishers) Van Dam set up shop in a relatively small and crowded portion of the 1,300-acre lake called Beeswax Creek, not far from the launch site at Beeswax Creek Park. This spot featured all the ingredients he outlined in the Bass Pro Clinic feature in the magazine: Current, vegetation, and an adjacent spawning flat.

Congrats Kevin! Well fished...
Congrats to KVD.
The story I heard is that he caught 7 keepers off of one stump and other fisherman could see he hit the mother load of fish but no one crowded him. It speaks volumns for the class of these guys and the respect they have for one another.

I can't wait to try one of them lipless red eye shad this spring.
Omori was crowding him. Zona and others say they have seen 15 guys hit a spot, nothing. KVD motors up, bam, nails a couple good fish! He just has the instinct and works hard that's why he's the best.

and to keep the tradition alive. because if we don't

he couldve won with anybody going against him but it really helped that Skeet Reese and Boyd Duckett got eliminated early on
