Montana monster brown
I caught this behemoth (somewhere in the 32" & 13-15lb range) brown from a seldom fished dredge pond left over from the gold mining days in the late 1800's. The only reason I was able to land him on my 8ft 4 weight fly rod was because after taking my wooly bugger he alligator rolled himself right up to my fly line which was wrapped around him like a lasso.

Awesome Brownies! Awesome Trout period! I can't wait to fish the rivers here in Montana this Spring and Summer!
nice pictures to bad In wisconsin we still don't fish for another month.
Gotta love the little kids and their enthusiasm for catching fish. Could be mud with a pulse, doesn't matter. Great shot.
Brown's are Brown's but Rainbow are better. I raise Rainbow's in Maine and they are fun. I give most of them away to Masonic Lodges, Granges, Churches, and other Fraternal Organizations for thei monthly fund raiser suppers. I sell some commercially to local restaurants to help cover expenses. The Trout Organization in Maine does not recognize the Rainbow as Native, which it is not, but the State stocks them in Maine ponds and lakes.
